Game C
Maybe the world of the digital is too much for you today. Maybe today is the day to go outside and touch grass.
“What’s the weather like, oh my beloved Phone Companion?” you say.
“It’s a beautiful October day,” your phone responds. “It’s currently 30 degrees and raining but this afternoon it will be 95 degrees and actively ON FIRE.”
You make a note to yourself to adjust the digital assistant’s tone in settings. You can’t have it triggering your climate anxiety first thing in the morning. It needs to keep that weather information to the bare minimum.
“The leaves have started to change in Arashiyama, according to Japanese news services,” the Phone adds. “I suggest you visit today because they will all have fallen by tonight.”
That’s perfect, you think. Leaf peeping. A great Kyoto seasonal event. What do you do next?
